Annual Recital

The mini recitals were a huge success and a wonderful preparation for the annual recital.

With many thanks to Jim Keller we are going to be able to enjoy the stage of Fairview High School on Saturday, June 4th. We are very fortunate to have such a great venue and have everyone experience a stage setting for their performance.

We will be handing out sheets within the next two to three weeks with your exact time on it. We do our best at scheduling the day and the times and start working on a place the first of January. We often have only one day that works for scheduling the recital and we appreciate the fact that your dedication makes it work with busy schedules.

The mini-recitals were a wonderful introduction to planning for the big recital and you will notice more concentration on memorization and careful practicing. We expect all students to have their pieces memorized completely by May 1st if they wish to participate in the recital. That gives them a full month to prepare and work on the musicality of the piece, rather than the notes and counting.

We have been extremely proud of all students for their attitude, their work ethic and their progress. What fun it is to see that every week and also to compare it to the previous year.
